Workshops

We are considering putting on Traditional French Dance Classes for beginners at the Ansell Community Centre in Hadleigh, IP7 5DL

Experienced dancers are welcome to join the class, free of charge, to help the beginners!

What kind of  dances?

A mixture of traditional dances from Central France, some done in couples, like the Scottisch or the Bourree, some in sets like English country dancing and some dances form Brittany done in lines or circles.

When are the classes?

Over a period of four weeks for 1½ hours a week. The first hour of each evening will be learning new dances, the second part will be practising dances learnt.  Soon after the course ends, there will be a 'French Bal' where the dances you have learnt can be practised.

How much does it cost?

The total cost for four weeks and the Bal is £25, payable in advance.  We need a minimum of 8 people to get started. (Cheques payable to L. Lyons)
